Official Scan Results

We had an "official" meeting about Aidan's scan with his CNMC team yesterday. The results are encouraging: the lesion on his spine is smaller. The site of the cranial lesion enhances on contrast without obvious sign of tumor, presumably because of scar tissue. Now we wait and watch. Aidan will have new scans every 3 months for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, he began taking Megase (as an appetite stimulant) this afternoon. So far so good. He ate well at dinner - spontaneously (no nagging needed)!

Last night we had dinner at Suzanne's. She gave Aidan a remote hover craft which he loves. Here he is playing with it by the pool; the goofy expression is a sign of his enthusiasm.

  1. Hi, Julie and Aidan! This is Michelle from the NIH! I am glad to head that Aidan's scans look encouraging. I hope that you are both doing well. I had misplaced this website, but finally found it and can catch up on all the things you've been up to. :) Say 'hi' to Aidan and give him a hug for me. I miss seeing him! It looks like you had a wonderful time at the beach a few weeks ago; that's great! Hang in there and take care!
